A Return to Campus
The act of returning to a college campus for students to again start their journey to their goal, that goal for most, being a degree, can evoke a lot of emotion outside of a student. The emotions that are stirred by the great migration back to school are very individual to each student, and it highly depends on what environment that student was leaving as compared to the environment they are now entering. But that is sort of how life works for everyone, a person's reaction is highly dependent on their past situation compared to the current, but anyway I digress.
My personal return to campus, and this may differ from others, has been the light at the end of tunnel that I have awaited for three and half long months at home. This is not to say that I do not enjoy my time at home, I don't have many complaints other than the ones one would expect while being kept at home with two siblings with differing personalities all while there is still a global pandemic occurring. However, I am a person who likes to have a routine to some degree, a routine that results in varying amounts of productivity and for some reason when I am at home during a summer break, I find it really hard to be productive. This causes a lot of stress for me as I am both a person who procrastinates and sometimes lacks motivation but also a person who craves achievement. Being able to balance this is much easier when I am in the comfort of my own apartment free of distractions that are usually attached to being at home. All in all, I am excited to start the new school year, be productive, make some memories, and achieve my goals. Go Bears!
